Job Description

We are seeking experienced Attorneys to support a large-scale civil litigation deposition project. This engagement offers an opportunity to conduct a high volume of depositions in a structured litigation environment while working remotely through Microsoft Teams.

The project is anticipated to begin with an orientation in the next week, with deposition work commencing the following week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct civil litigation depositions in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Prepare for and manage multiple depositions each day.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams to conduct virtual depositions and communicate with the case team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established project procedures.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless deposition coverage.

Schedule

  • Orientation scheduled in the next week, with depositions expected to begin the following week.
  • Attorneys will typically conduct up to three depositions per day.
  • Contract attorneys will generally provide coverage three days per week, with additional opportunities available based on project needs.
  • Remote/virtual deposition environment utilizing Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience conducting civil litigation depositions.
  • Strong verbal communication and questioning skills.
  • Comfort and proficiency using Microsoft Teams and virtual meeting technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple depositions and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Active attorney licensure in good standing with the state of California.

Process

  • Qualified candidates will participate in a brief introductory meeting in lieu of a formal interview process.
  • Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigation attorney who has substantial deposition experience, is confident working independently, and can quickly integrate into an active, high-volume litigation project.
